Book 1:

Journal Braxton had it hard from the start. Growing up in one of the roughest parts of Miami, alongside her two older siblings. Having a mom that was negligent towards her children, it caused Journal and her siblings to fiend for themselves, which one day ultimately landed the 3 of them in foster care. Journal was forced to believe that her and her siblings would forever stick together, but they were all eventually separated from one another, and her life has gone downhill ever since.

Eighteen  years go by since the separation, and now Journal is an adult. She’s struggling out here in the real world, and in a very unhealthy relationship with her longtime boyfriend, Hakeem. Everything in her life changes the day that she meets Mr. Genesis Banks, better known as Slick.

Slick is the man in Miami. With a passion for weapons, and a love for making money, he’s truly the man to be! Slick is tough, never met a woman that he wanted to settle down with and love, but then he meets Journal, a good girl, that he saw something in from the very start. Their worlds are much different from one another, but that’s what’s going to make it so special.

Book 2:

Journal was separated from her brother and sister at the age of six. For years, she had this image of what she thought her oldest sister, and oldest brother lifestyle might have been like moving past the day that they were both adopted. After a conversation with Harmony after all these years, she already knows that her life was nowhere near as perfect as Journal made it out to be. Here Journal is now, faced to face with her brother, but she gets the surprise of a lifetime, upon finding out about her brothers transition. All Journal wants is to have the perfect relationship with her siblings, and to make up for the years of lost time, but does everyone want that?

A new face is added to the scene and his name is Grady Joseph. Grady is the man that Harmony has been seeing for the past year. There seems to be some sort of built up animosity that Grady has towards Genesis. Can that built up animosity be the reason why Journal and Harmony’s relationship may take a turn for the worst?

Prepare to be entertained with this roller coaster read. Secrets, lies, enemies, and snakes are popping out fast, leaving almost every relationship to be tested.
